The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a brief online psychoeducational intervention, targeting depression, anxiety and suicide stigma, for increasing positive attitudes towards help seeking and increasing help seeking intentions among young adults.
First, empirical evidence suggests that there is an association between identification of signs and symptoms of cancer and help seeking intentions [ 11, 21, 25, 51].
The final section (E) presented a labelled vignette depicting a character with depression based on DSM-IV criteria [ 14] followed by a depression stigma measure comprising personal and perceived subscales, self reported history and past help seeking for depression and help seeking intentions.
This would suggest that black women are a homogenous group; it is very likely that attitudes, help-seeking intention and help-seeking behaviours will vary considerably within and between black African and black Caribbean women in the UK and possibly between first-generation and second-generation migrants.

Interventions designed to improve help-seeking attitudes and increase help-seeking intentions and behaviour have been evaluated in recent times.
