Analysis of women's descriptions uncovered a variety of contexts that were related to women's enjoyment or discomfort when engaging in anal intercourse (see Fig. 3).
African American, Group 1) In contrast to the women who found pleasure in anal intercourse, 15 of the women (15/32; 47 % of participants) focused on the emotional and physical discomfort associated with anal intercourse (see Fig. 4).
