The pattern of SEP-CVD risk factor associations was more noteworthy and consistent for proximal behavioral (sedentary behavior and tobacco exposure) than for metabolic risk factors (elevated non HDL-C, HbA1c, sBP, anon HDL-C).

Behavioral risk factors including tobacco smoking, alcohol drinking, physical inactivity, sedentary behavior, and obesity are major determinants of adult chronic diseases morbidity and mortality [ 2, 3].
