The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the agency that enacts strategies for China's economic and social development, posted its announcement, titled "Concerning untrustworthy behavior in the emerging transportation sector," online on Monday morning.
Likely sectors include online marketing, e-commerce, mobile content and services, online gaming and social networks, as well as their associated technologies and infrastructures such as middleware, cloud computing, security, and online payments.
Chen has also diversified into a variety of sectors including online literature, third-party payment, venture capital and even construction of an "innovation park" for entrepreneurs.
Nokia's next trick will be ensuring that its expansion into potentially risky sectors like online music sales, currently the stomping ground of Apple, pays off.
