Our hypothesis is that a dynamic Nexus framework that attempts to equally weight sectoral objectives provides a new paradigm for diagnosis and investigation.
The findings indicate that (1) MSP'ing is often focused on achieving specific sectoral objectives, related to nationally important strategic priorities, and might better be termed 'strategic sectoral planning'.
Tackling this challenge is hampered since biomass cropping is subject to several sectoral objectives, e.g. from spatial planning, regional renewable energy concepts and regional rural development programmes such as the EU-funded LEADER initiative [41 43].
There may not be a precise match with individual sectoral objectives.

It is encouraging to see that the above strategic directions are consistent with the guiding principles (life cycle approach, cross sectoral action, equity and participation) and the objectives proposed by the WHO/EURO strategy for child and adolescent health and development approved by all member states in 2005 [ 32], and in particular with the first priority area: maternal and newborn health.
The meeting agreed it was urgent that governments in countries affected by child malnutrition accelerate the implementation of proactive, multi-sectoral and decentralized public policies with the clear objective of reducing the prevalence of malnutrition among children.
