With amazement, we watched a DVD of John Ford's 1956 masterpiece, "The Searchers," which is widely considered to be one of the most successful transfers of an old movie.
The Searchers, which deals with a mysterious, morally ambivalent Johnny Reb's relentless quest to find – and perhaps kill – a niece abducted by marauding Comanches, is padded out to epic length with all sorts of daffy comedy.
It is designed to crawl websites, retrieve profiles that may belong to the searched user, correlate them, aggregate the discovered data and return them to the searcher which may, for example, be an adaptive system.
