Lee's originality, as well as his modernism, lies in his translation of the free-form poetry of popular speech into script, performance, and images; his characters unleash a dazzling flow of patter that enlivens even dire circumstances, and the d.j. of the local storefront radio station (Samuel L. Jackson) looks out the window and chronicles street life in real time.
There are some areas where we are all really pushing each other, like Java script performance.
