Table 2 shows the simulated number of total cases of CRC, predicted number of CRC deaths, and perforation related deaths, in a cohort of 100,000 persons sub-classified by screening strategy, given 60% of compliance rate with FOBT1, DNA3, DNA5, and DNA10, 40% of compliance rate with SIGM5 and COLO10, and 85% of referral rate after a positive screening results.
Table 1 shows the observed case numbers and rates of cervical cancer and cervical cancer deaths in Australia, compared to baseline model predictions for current practice using the screening data from Victoria to model current levels of compliance to screening and management recommendations (baseline predictions were calibrated to the observed age-specific rates [ 8, 9]).
We believe this is an important complimentary definition of screening compliance that more accurately reflects the guidelines themselves and has implications for both clinical practice and health care policy.
Only a few relevant studies related to GDM screening were identified, and they mostly looked at determinants of compliance to screening recommendations.
