Our analysis predicts the accumulation of negatively charged nanoparticles near a negatively charged surface depending on the Debye screening length of the medium.
As mentioned above, the associated SFG intensity variation of those NaCl solutions can be accounted for by just invoking a concentration-dependent Debye screening length, keeping χ2 and the surface charge density constant (Fig. 1, dashed line)26.
Assuming that the chain has reached its maximum extension, we have combined the rigid-rod model with the idea of effective dimensions that depend linearly on the Debye Hückel screening length, κ−1, to account for a primary electroviscous effect, as a means to describe the observed behavior.
The key findings include two fourth-order multiple discrete image approximations in terms of u = λa to the reaction field induced by the ionic solvent, provided that u = λa < 1 where λ is the inverse Debye screening length of the ionic solvent and a is the radius of the dielectric sphere.
In the case when the lattice period is much smaller that the Debye screening length, the energy diagram has the shape of a sawtooth-like pattern.

These behaviors can be explained by the finite carrier screening length effect owing to the existence of a superficial conductive surface layer in FET devices with thicknesses larger than the screening length ( left(sqrt{varepsilon {K}_B T}{e}^2 pright) ), where ε, K B, and p are the dielectric constant of the semiconductor, Boltzmann's constant, and hole carrier density, respectively, [43].
At high temperatures, however, interface roughness and alloy potential restrict the mobility, but effect of the dislocation scattering becomes less dominant as a result of shortening Debye screening length due to higher carrier density.
We demonstrate both the sensitivity of graphene's doping levels to the salt concentration and the importance of quantum capacitance that arises due to the smallness of the Debye screening length in the electrolyte.
The addition of salt reduces the Debye screening length, screening the surface charges and enhancing the surface attractive force [59, 60], therefore, the viscosity goes up with the rising of salt concentration.
