Recently, UNICEF assessed the scope and scale of programmes for both breastfeeding and complementary feeding in 65 countries.
After listing the programmes and initiatives, the following criteria were used to select the programmes to be evaluated: at least one HRH programme/initiative on HRH, effect (impact) on the health system, total amount of programme funding, scope of the programme (population and geographic area), temporary extension (over a year), and the availability of information.
An area that needs further exploration is the scope of surveillance programmes within dialysis units, identifying any deficits and resources needed to establish such programmes.

Because of the increasing scale and scope of such programmes, a better understanding of the methods of high-quality economic evaluations may be crucial for both producers/authors and consumers/reviewers of newborn screening-related economic evaluations.
HIV preventive interventions focused on vulnerable groups such as sex workers have traditionally targeted individual behaviour only, with impediments to success frequently including structural factors beyond the scope of these programmes [ 5, 6].
Because of the increasing scale and scope of such programmes, a better understanding of the methods of high-quality economic evaluations may be crucial for both producers/authors and consumers/reviewers of newborn screening-related economic evaluations in order to assure high quality allocation decisions in newborn screening.
However, political developments between Kosovo and Serbia during the implementation phase of the programme limited the scope of the programme in Serbian enclaves.
