The important second section of the exhibition, "Still-life or Trompe l'Oeil?" illustrates, primarily through examples from these northern schools, how problematic it can be to define the frontiers between sheer virtuoso mimesis and an intention to dupe the viewer.
The city's health department hit the pause button after a study found that the Breakfast in the Classroom program, now used in 381 of the city's 1,750 schools, was problematic because some children might be "inadvertently taking in excess calories by eating in multiple locations" — in other words, having a meal at home, or snacking on the way to school, then eating again in school.

Greenwich did what most towns have done with racially problematic schools: It turned Hamilton Avenue into a magnet.
He claimed that faith schools were particularly problematic, arguing that too many were teaching just one religion or even "manipulating admissions" to cherrypick students.
And the limited number of quality schools is especially problematic given that 40 million extra students are expected during the coming decade.
