Results show that, under a variety of unit water and energy cost scenarios, lack of process follow-up in front of relatively small variations of input parameters might cause important effects in optimal water and energy consumption, ultimately resulting in increased operational costs.
Although different in their context, these scenarios show some intriguing trends in spite of the "Danish" scenarios lack of a clear scenario horizon.
Our results suggest that both scenarios (lack of host tracking and local P. saulius adaptation to C. ohridella) may have occurred as we found only two 'Balkan' Cameraria-specific haplotypes (C1, Fig. 3) in Austria and Czech Republic among a majority of Central European haplotypes.
In the latter scenario, lack of contact zones (and thus mating) between the resulting allopatric fragments is likely to lead to accumulation of colony (or fragment-) specific mutations and CHC compounds.
Thus, in scenarios with lack of signal information both methods are not applicable anymore.
The simulation results obtained demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach and illustrate its applicability in other scenarios where lack of connectivity is evident.
