The intrinsic scattering half-height width for a 3 µm crystallite is of the order of 0.002°, which is small compared with the capture volume and so has little influence on the capture likelihood.
This was preceded and followed by a thickness evaluation using the OCT setup, in order to take into account the dynamic of the cornea whose thickness may evolve over the duration of the entire characterization process (approximately an hour and a half for scattering measurement and OCT imaging).
