In domains with weak heterogeneities the wave field is decomposed into forward propagating and back scattered modes using two coupled parabolic equations.
The week (0.2 0.5 dB) daytime amplitude perturbations are due to the higher attenuation offered by the Earth-ionosphere waveguide to VLF waves in the daytime as compared with the nighttime (Kumar et al., 2007) so that the waveguide mode interference between the scattered modes and the direct wave at the receiver results in a weaker amplitude in the daytime.
The morphology of cores@void@C was observed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM, Hitachi S-8000, Japan) in a secondary electron scattering mode at 5 kV and a transmission electron microscope (TEM).
G peak splitting has also been observed in graphene under uniaxial strain [5] and in isolated SWCNTs under hydrostatic pressure [31] where the curvature-sensitive lower frequency (G−) scattering mode itself can be broadened and even split when nanotubes buckle and collapse under high pressure loading.
On the other hand, for each scattered azimuthal mode, the high-order cut-on radial mode, generally, has the highest intensity.
The parameters of linings at different leaching times, such as porosity, pore size distribution, phase composition and Calcium-Silicon (Ca/Si) ratio, were analyzed by using the saturation-drying weighing method, mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy in back scattered electron mode (ESEM-BSE) measurements.
Thirdly, the scattered light is ideally scattered into modes that are otherwise subject to total reflection (being related to a high angular scattering distribution) which leads to light trapping in a thin layer.
The selected 3D distribution data are shown in the scatter mode.
