Forward scatter of light.
The uptake of the nanoparticles by the different cell lines was analyzed through granularity (side scatter of light (SSC-H) vs. forward scatter of light (FSC-H)) changes on FACSCalibur flow cytometer (Becton Dickinson, USA).
To assay cells by forward and side scatter of light, FACScan was standardized with microbeads (Dynosphere Uniform Microspheres Bangs Laboratories Inc. Thermo Scientificic, Waltham, MA, USA).
The forward and side scatter of light by cells in an SRT preparation is shown in Figure 2a.
Due to the reflected and emitted light passing down the same light guide (mainstream), however, OPS imaging is highly sensitive to internal scatter of light.
