It would be a shame to miss the felicitous sight of the sampled "zip" painting by Barnett Newman that she juxtaposed, while filming, with the club-wielding Hercules pictured in a 15th-century fresco by Piero Della Francsca.
Each sample was zip-tipped and analyzed by MALDI-TOF MS. Aliquoted samples were treated by CylA (serine protease encoded in the biosynthetic pathway of cytolysin) to remove the leader peptides, and the resulting core peptides were analyzed by LC-MS or LC-MS/MS.

"I had a E-MU sampler, and you had those zip drives, and then you sample—I always sampled the drums from the hip-hop records and 70s and 80s records, and then cut them… I remember there was a revolution as well for production when Logic 5, I think it was, came out with their own sampler.
"There are several examples, but my favorite is a nanostructured steel where we can heat-treat deformed samples very briefly, then zip, it's done," he says.
