Second, a restricted sample of 16 settlements was used for a more in-depth diachronic analysis of how settlements combined different means of security over several decades.
Data are available for three periods of drought with trajectories from a sample of 16 settlements.
This multivariate analysis was made on a restricted sample of 508 settlements with complete and consistent dataa (i.e. 86% of the total population).
In addition to carrying out MICS on a nationally representative sample, in this country a survey was also carried out on a separate sample of Roma settlements.
From the 150 sub-regions of Hungary, all settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants, as well as representative samples of smaller settlements, were included.
Sampling frame of list of settlements was developed for each SA from which households were sampled.
This restricted sample was representative of the diversity of settlements, and it was diversified for six criteria: nature of activities, herd size, species composition, family structure, regime of mobility and borehole location.
The human data consist of a biased sample of individuals dying at these settlements.
"From February to April this year, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia conducted two surveys – one encompassed 7,351 households selected as a nationally representative sample, and the other encompassed the sample of 1,976 households in Roma settlements", said the Assistant Director of the Statistical Office, Zoran Jancic.
The first author extracted data from articles that met inclusion criteria and inserted information regarding aims, study design, sample size, geographic region of settlement, and outcomes into an excel spreadsheet to allow for tabulation and comparison across studies.
