In the other 10 tumours, carcinoma cells exhibited apparently the same staining intensity as normal epithelium and were categorized as having low expression of LPA2.
Although no morphological changes are observed, we believe that the cells in 4 are still alive as they do not exhibit the same staining patterns as encapsulated cells that we have treated with methanol (SI, Figure 11).
Furthermore, that the C-terminal APC antibodies should give the same staining pattern as the N-terminal antibodies to APC in SW480 cells was unusual, as C-terminal APC sequences should not be expressed in these cells.
IL-1β immunohistochemistry showed the same staining pattern as for IL6 and TNFα, with no change after CFA induced activation (Fig. 3).
