In our second study, we had 161 employees from a broad variety of occupations (both managers and non-managers) complete the same set of surveys, with the addition of measures of late-night usage of television, laptop computers, and tablets.
In his book, Epley describes a similar experiment, one that worked something like a nerdy Newlywed Game: One half of a couple took a series of surveys, while at the same time in a separate room, the other half of that couple was taking the same set of surveys -- only they were instructed to predict the way their significant other would likely answer.
In each country, the same set of four surveys was used to collect data about practice characteristics, physician perceptions of care, patient perceptions of care, and patient values, with only minor changes to accommodate the specific realities of the local health care system [38, 39].
Two weeks later, participants were recalled for a Survey 2.
