Since Kvist et al. (12) proposed the usefulness of SAD in the evaluation of visceral obesity, there have been a few studies comparing SAD with WC in predicting VAT measured by CT or MRI (13– 13).
This task was chosen as previous studies of SAD have demonstrated differential activations in SAD and HC during evaluation of emotional faces [6,27].
We also should note that the evaluation of SADs is not a common case in many architecture-centric developments, although some experiences have been reported as part of ATAM evaluations with checklists ([Nord et al. 2009]).
For this SAD, an energy-based approach relying on the evaluation of signal power ratios between the microphone signals is applied.
Finally, it is interesting to note that late positivities, i.e., the late positive potential (LPP), have also been observed during the evaluation of affective stimuli [90], [91], such as tones sung with a sad voice presented simultaneously with sad pictures [92].

Before SAD can be more widely used in the clinical setting, properly validated measurement protocols and evaluation of cutoff values are needed.
The consultant performed a short presentation about the SAD to the operator prior to insertion, explaining its preparation, lubrication of the device, insertion technique, fixation, and evaluation of its efficacy.
