"Russian salad" is a correct and usable term in written English.
You can use it to describe a type of cold salad popular in many Middle Eastern, Eastern European, and Central Asian countries and that often contains mayonnaise and diced potatoes, carrots, and other vegetables. For example: "This restaurant serves a delicious Russian salad that I always enjoy."
