In the rubric ratio analysis we calculated the grand mean (q ¯ ) of the number of words in the English rubrics (e ) and the number of words in the corresponding Swedish rubrics (s ) for all rubrics (n ).
Using an IL rubric to score student papers (n = 337) over three consecutive first-year student cohorts, our study shows that when faculty collaborate with librarians to foster IL competencies, the result is a statistically significant improvement in students' demonstrated research skills.
Based on an initial sample of papers (n = 36) a rubric was developed to identify authenticity and authentic experiences in engineering education.
