In fact, the service (which no one seems to talk about anymore) was far ahead of every other fast-rising query expect for the iPad, which was a close second.
Meanwhile, Ofqual released figures showing that almost 40,000 GCSE and A-level grades were amended this year, as schools submitted rising numbers of queries about exams.
Russian search engine Yandex also grew year over the year, which volume of search queries rising 91percenttoto 1.9 billion searches.
A May study found that it had already snapped up 30percentt of the search market, with queries rising 11percentt year-over-year.
But their charts focus mainly on the fastest-rising queries.
It's worth noting again that these lists are just for the fastest-rising queries of the year.
That, in turn, has seemed to push people to do research on their own: Back-to-school search queries rose sharply the week of July 11, a full week earlier than last year, according to data released recently by Google.
Its share of U.S. search queries rose in August to 63percentt, from 61.9percentt in July.
