But that's a bit different – reviewing stuff is part of our job description.
When he is off his board, he can be found reviewing stuff for Quartersnacks or lurking at the TF.
Then there's "Stuff Will Tear Us Apart", "Stuff Shack", "I Want Your Stuff", "The Power of Stuff", "All You Need is Stuff", etc. That's how I pass the time when I'm not reviewing stuff - free stuff that I get for free.

People review stuff all the time on their blogs, and there's a need for a search engine to aggregate those reviews.
I tend to only review stuff I like enough to buy, but on this Brief I make some exceptions and review the Palm Centro, the Sonos Digital Music System and the Jura Capresso Impressa J5 coffee and espresso maker.
It's all kind of painful; but at this point Obama may have gotten his groove back, and since he's going to be the Dem nominee, reviewing this stuff doesn't seem all that urgent (which is not to deny that Noam is doing fine reporting).

The new site adds a host of other review sources, such as expert reviews (Cnet, TrustedReview, Stuff …), buyer guides, video links, and q&a sessions.
Whereas before the site really was dependent on signed-up users for submitted products (I remember writing something about a Brompton bike, but it turns out there weren't many other Brompton bike users there) the new site has brought in expert reviews: from Cnet, TrustedReviews, Stuff magazine, gamespot and DPreview.
