As the editor of Poetry magazine since 2003, he has helmed this nearly century-old journal with enthusiastic adventurousness, publishing a wide range of poetic styles, turbo-charging the back of the book with essays (go read, immediately, Naeem Murr's hilarious "My Poet" in the July/August issue) and reviews engaged in debate both lively and dead serious.
Results indicate that peer review engages learners in exchanging feedback that functions as evaluations, suggestions, clarifications and questions (Mendonca & Johnson, 1994; Lockhart & Ng, 1995; Zhu, 1995; Villamil & De Guerrero, 1996; De Guerrero & Villamil, 2000; Hanjani & Li, 2014).
Researchers investigating peer review from this theoretical perspective have reported that peer review engages learners in exchanging reciprocal scaffolding that assists them in targeting issues in their writing and solving them through revisions (e.g., Villamil & De Guerrero, 1996; De Guerrero & Villamil, 2000; Hanjani & Li, 2014).

What I've tried to do in my reviews is engage seriously with these bullshit concepts, as if they were serious – to see whether an idea such as "cognitive surplus", of which Clay Shirky is very fond, has any meaning at all.
