For horizontal cables this explains the phenomena of frequency coalescence and mode reversion [1], as well as the frequency crossover and modal changes of non-translating cables [2].
As observed previously, reverse transformation in a two-phase δ + α′ alloy exhibits the existence of competition between direct reversion (α′1at.%→δ1at.%) and indirect reversion (α′1at.%→βpure Pu(+δe)→γpure Pu(+δe)→δ1at.%).
