It might be relevant that disorder within the N-terminus of DISC1, for example, aids in its dynamic reversible binding to cAMP-specific 3′,5′-cyclic phosphodiesterase 4B and 4D (PDE4B/PDE4D), the contact points of which have been reported (refer to Table 1); some of these regions correspond to predicted consensus disorder sites.
