The ability to control the interlayer thickness, therefore the magnetic reversal response, of exchange-coupled magnetic layers is of paramount importance in nanotechnology, especially in magnetic sensing element design and applications.
Recently, the phenomenon of immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS), or leprosy reversal response, has received attention.
More importantly, breaking this positive feedback loop at some point, e.g., at late stage of a cancer, means all the molecular responses to the wound must be stopped or reversed, leading the logical problems for survival no response or reversal responses to wounded and aging cells in membranes, skin, liver, blood cells, and the other fast metabolized tissues.
Infants throughout the age range showed significant responses to orientation-reversal. Direction-reversal responses appeared in less than 25% of infants under 7 weeks of age, rising to 80% or more at 11 13 weeks, whether tested with dots or gratings and for both speeds and reversal rates.
This again underscores the difference between steady state temporal and spatial responses, and demonstrates how having a diffusible element acts as a constraint (if a reversal in response is desired, as has been suggested in migratory responses) or a capability (preventing a reversal in spatial response, inspite of a biphasic steady state response to temporal stimuli).
Hormesis is a toxicological concept, which is defined by Kendig et al. as a "dose response relationship for a single endpoint that is characterised by reversal of response between low and high doses of chemicals, biological molecules, physical stressors, or any other initiators of a response" [ 17].
In order to compare this method with previously published results, we also exposed animals to a train of mechanostimulatory events by repeatedly exposing their cultivation dish to a non-directional mechanical shock (dropping) and monitoring their reversal magnitude response (Fig. 7A, bottom right).
Our results support the involvement of decreased DNA methylation in RA and its reversal in response to MTX.
