Surgeons have been conventionally limited in terms of where to place suture anchors because the site of tendon reattachment is influenced by the type and size of the rotator cuff tear, the degree of tendon retraction, and the amount of tendon mobilization during the rotator cuff surgery [ 7].
The extent and localization of the rupture as well as the amount of fatty degeneration and amount of retraction is determined by two independent assessors (PE, FOLH).
In order to find the answer, different amounts of retraction force were applied to the tooth with the smaller crown-root angle in the form of a trial and error experiment.

Preretraction and postretraction lateral cephalograms were taken and superimposed for measuring the amount of retraction.

The amount of retraction of the anterior teeth in the lower arch controls that of the upper regardless of the space available in the upper.
