The retarded rate constant concept is shown to be subsumed by the idea of a weathering mixture with a distribution of rate constants.
We knocked down ephrin-B1 (91%) and -B2 (74%) using conventional small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and observed that ephrin-B1/B2 knockdown (KD) scratch wounds had a significantly retarded rate of closure, such that, at 15 hr, repair was 36% less in KD cells compared to control wounds.
