Inevitably the results of priority-setting initiatives are dependent on the composition of the group of participants and further consensus-based initiatives in other countries and with other clinical disciplines would be useful.
The role of researchers in taking issues forward is well recognised and the JLA is keen to work with researchers who have an interest in the shared priorities of patients, carers and clinicians to make use of the results of the priority setting process.
In addition, we also can compare with the results of the priority inverse kinematics (PIK) approach [16] because the same test sequence is used to evaluate its performance.
