Interestingly, the C-cut mutant showed dominant inhibitory effect on the neurite induction and branching because overexpression of the C-cut mutant in the primary cultured neurons having neurites with branches, where endogenous DGKβ is already expressed, resulted in shrink of neurites and branching (Fig. S4).
