Among the small RNAs interrogated in the microarray, 15 miRNAs corresponding to 13 miRNA families, and 81 predicted miRNAs showed elicitor-responsiveness (up- or down-regulation) at one or more time points of elicitor treatment (p value ≤ 0.05; Table 1 and Additional file 1: Table S1).
