Thematic analysis of interview data showed an increase in the teachers' knowledge of linguistic sensitivity for linguistically and culturally responsive instruction.
An increase in linguistic sensitivity in turn led to an increase in recognition for the different language levels as defined by WIDA, and the essential need for culturally responsive instruction (Cartledge and Kourea 2008; Garcia and Ortiz 2006).
