5.51pm: My colleague Laura Oliver has spotted a couple of interesting reader responses below the line to the Tower Hamlets story.
It's the reason that when the Guardian recently published its research into the tone and content of 70m comments on its articles – and the methodology used – I couldn't bring myself to read the responses "below the line".
Then, as a group, students answer the following questions, writing their responses below the sentence (written on the board for easier student access): –Is this statement an opinion or a fact, or does the sentence contain some elements that are fact and others that are opinions?
Participants with reduced responses (below the median) to both SNP and ACh were nearly four times more likely to have DR (OR 3.86 [1.45-10.3]) than those with SNP and ACh both above the median values.
After excluding responses below the positivity cut-off, the median magnitude of response over background (fold change) for the remaining vaccine recipients was highest for IP-10 (1.43 log10) and lowest for RANTES (−1.19 log10; Figure 1A, upper panel).
In the case of G. soricina, only intensity-response curves and action spectra without (chromatic) adaptation could be measured, since it turned out that even small amounts of constant adapting light suppressed the small ERG responses below the noise level of the recordings.
