Of these, seven trials would have been stopped at the first stage by the DESR as a result of high epd rates in conjunction with only a single responding subject in each trial, and in all seven of these trials the rules of Gehan found the same results after accrual of the second stage (i.e., Hnul accepted).
The subjects who responded completely to chemotherapy (1 and 2) can still be distinguished from the partially responding Subject 3. In this section, we present results utilizing the entire (N=35) training set described in our previous work [ 11] (Table 5).
The proportion of responding subjects was quite low and probably not totally representative of the whole population of migraine sufferers since most participants were severe migraine sufferers and already enrolled in the healthcare system.
Median values for the responding subjects gave the following results: Esp1 (76 pg/ml), Esp6 (64 pg/ml), induced IFN-γ production in HHC; PTB gave low IFN-γ responses for the peptides.
All responding subjects completed a dietary questionnaire including questions on current and adolescent milk, dairy product and fruit and vegetable consumption.
The statistical unit was the individual, prevalence rates were calculated by dividing the number of subjects reporting symptoms (unilateral or bilateral) for the site of interest over the total number of responding subjects together with the 95% confidence intervals.
This was particularly true for male patients, in which the threshold of 14 g dl−1 was able to discriminate the highest proportion of responding subjects, whereas in female patients a plateau was evident at 12 g dl−1.
More than three-quarters (1123/1351 [83.1%) of responding subjects reported no change in iris color at month 24, and nearly 90% (n = 1343/1520 [88.4%]) indicated a desire to continue FC treatment after the completion of study.
A total of 659 (M = 25.5 years, SD = 8.2, range = 13 70; 362 male, 283 female, 14 declined to respond) subjects completed the study online.
A total of 707 (M = 25.8 years, SD = 8.8, range = 14 82; 460 male, 226 female, 21 declined to respond) subjects completed the task online.
The gender ratio of unresponded subjects did not show significant difference from that of the responded subjects (p = 0.651).
