One measurement that selective colleges use to compare themselves is their respective admissions yields: the percentage of applicants offered acceptance who ultimately decide to enroll.
If it's important that new students, faculty and staff know your mission (which, by the by, it is), you'd best incorporate explanation of your mission into their respective admissions process and orientation to the college.
