Direct ventricular or intra-parenchymal monitoring is considered the gold standard for measuring ICP; however, the procedure is invasive, carries the risk of infection and bleeding, and is resource intensive [2, 3].
Contact tracing and implementation of public health intervention measures after in-flight exposure to disease is time and resource intensive (21 ).
Echoing this sentiment other key informants stated that "there is no role for different physicians who want things done in a different way, it's time consuming and resource intensive" (KI 1E) and "simply not safe" (KI 1B).
This aggressive management, which is necessary to maintain organ function until brain death is declared and procurement can be undertaken, is extremely labor and resource intensive [ 13, 16, 21, 22, 23, 26].

Our hierarchical screening scheme (Fig. 1a) begins with scrape assays, which are cost and labour-efficient, then promising candidates are taken on to the more resource-intensive 3-dimensional cell line tubule culture and only later move on to ex vivo assays.
Experimental confirmation of neuropeptides and experimental peptidome studies are resource intensive [ 2, 9- 11].
Areas for intervention and improvement in rural populations are often difficult to identify, costly and resource intensive [ 21, 22].
