Since the beginning of FY 2017 until the first executive order suspended Syrian resettlement, 5,500 Syrians were resettled to the United States.

In addition to these inhibiting effects and the lack of registration infrastructure and resources in most of the 'homeland' areas, reporting of vital events was also probably restrained by the many disruptive effects of forced removal and resettlement (25, 29– 32) on people's motivation and means to do so (25, 31, 33).

In the current paper, we report on the development in PTSS and general mental health symptoms in a sample of unaccompanied refugee children from shortly after their arrival to Norway (T1) to approximately two years post-resettlement (T2).
The majority (55.9%) of street children came from communal areas while 38.3% came from urban areas, 1.8% from resettlement areas, 2.3% from mining and 1.8% from commercial farming areas (Table 11).
While the average wait time for refugee resettlement is 18 to 24 months, Iraqis and Syrians typically wait several years.
This plan would also provide for the resettlement of 350,000 to 400,000 refugees into Europe.
