BRCA1-IRIS small hairpin RNA (shRNA) was designed using the 'shRNA Design Tool' from the IDT website [ 39], (sequence available upon request), inserted between BamHI and EcoR1 sites in pSIREN-RetroQ plasmid (Addgene, Cambridge, MA, USA).
