Since the advanced carcinoma in the index case that originated from a depressed lesion represented stage III disease with pT3, we decided to select stage II and III carcinomas with pT3 from these cases.
In some of our cases when only mild pathology was seen, the evaluator encountered difficulties in clearly stating, that the case represented stage I.
