Here, we further examined possible effects of cell growth stage on ectopic expression of five representative TSAs, including Casein alpha (Csna) specific for thyroid, Cytochrome P450 17 (Cyp17) specific for gonad, Fatty acid binding protein 2 (Fabp2) specific for intestine, Insulin II (InsII) specific for pancreas and Thyroglobulin (Tgn) specific for thyroid.

Many miRNAs were detected in only one library; for instance, tsa-miRn6, tsa-miRn21, and tsa-miRn22 were only present in the TL, and tsa-miRn1, tsa-miRn7, tsa-miRn10, and tsa-miRn14 only in the CL (Table 2).
