Using cDNA representation difference analysis (cDNA RDA) on whole animals at two different developmental stages separated by the metamorphic tailshift event, we isolated four families of genes (oikosins) that are expressed only from specific subregions of the oikoplastic epithelium.
This region was partially identified by representation difference analysis and termed PIG-RDA20 for pigmented strain representational difference analysis-20, as detailed before [ 7].
The 3L position was significantly closer than the 3L1I position when targeting the lobule V hand representation (difference = 1.45 mm; t99 = 7.9, P < 0.001), and significantly further when targeting the lobule VIII hand representation (difference = 1.94 mm; t99 = 12.4, P < 0.0001).
We have employed the representation difference analysis technique [ 7] to identify cDNAs representing genes expressed at higher levels in EML cells 72 hours after induction of differentiation than in uninduced cells.

The fundamental representation differences between imaging and non-imaging metadata introduce a significant challenge in integrating and analyzing the complete dataset within subjects and across populations.
With regard to content representation, differences between measures for adults and children appeared.
To validate shRNA representation differences observed in the screen, individual shRNAs were first evaluated in a competitive cell assay for cell growth.
Although multiple displacement amplification is the method that results in the most balanced genome amplification to date, it still suffers from up to 6 fold amplification representation differences between loci [ 49].
We eliminated redundant probe sets, lack of corresponding gene orthologues and platform-specific gene representation differences using orthologue gene mapping, and then tabulated the overlap between each developmental signature and each cluster from the NF1 tumour signature.
G-tests for goodness-of-fit using Williams' correction factor (Sokal and Rohlf 1995) were used to test for representation differences, with each non-native or hybrid group being compared in separate tests to the native (i.e. Localfemale × Localmale) group (all G tests were two-tailed and had one degree of freedom).
