Here, we have identified a novel transcript variant of Bax gene in mouse which contains alternatively spliced new first exon that is different from the first exon of previously reported transcript.
Of non-coding variants, three common SNPs in strong LD were detected, of which rs11554825 was located in the untranslated TGR5 exon 1, while rs3731859 (r2 = 0.99 with rs11554825) and rs13003334 (r2 = 0.97 with rs11554825) were located in and near a reported transcript in the 5' untranslated region (Figure 1).
Previous publications have reported transcript expression patterns of specific LuPMEs.
The reported transcript sequences, however, correspond to the mutant genomic sequences of the sequenced strain (iso-1 ).
This 1.5-Mb CNV region contained three protein coding genes, one of which had two reported transcript variants, and four non coding RNA genes (Additional file 8).
