Cybersecurity has taken on new urgency this year in the face of a growing range of cyberattacks and reports of vulnerabilities in business and military computing systems.
Specifically, Facebook says it will reward valid reports of vulnerabilities that relate to the improper exposure of Facebook user access tokens.
The spokesman added: "Ubisoft takes security issues very seriously, and we will continue to monitor all reports of vulnerabilities within our software and take swift action to resolve such issues".
The present findings extend previous reports of vulnerability in systems involved in the processing of dynamic cues in children born prematurely at very low birth weight (e.g., Jakobson et al., 2006; MacKay et al., 2005; Taylor et al., 2009).
In our study, the corresponding association of historical blood glucose levels with cognitive decline in people with diabetes in later life was particularly evident for tests of executive function, which again is consistent with findings from the ARIC study [ 28] and with reports of vulnerability of that domain in people with diabetes [ 29].
These findings extend previous reports of vulnerability in systems involved in processing dynamic cues in preterm children and suggest that a core deficit in social perception/cognition may contribute to the development of the social and behavioral difficulties even in members of this population who are functioning within the normal range intellectually.
This higher reported burden may of course reflect a willingness to report feelings of vulnerability, but it may also reflect not just women's lower average tolerance thresholds for painful stimuli [ 30], but also, as a socially influenced gender-based characteristic, their greater emotional responsiveness [ 31].
In his analysis, Ransbotham found that attacks on vulnerabilities in open-source software occurred sooner than attacks on closed-source software, as measured from the first report of the vulnerability by each company.
Our findings include: (1) none of the subjects found all confirmed vulnerabilities, (2) more experience does not necessarily mean that the reviewer will be more accurate or effective, and (3) reports of false vulnerabilities were significantly correlated with reports of valid vulnerabilities.
Now it seems that hardly an election goes by without reports of serious vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
