In the present study, we showed that selenite arrested NB4 cells at G0/G1 phase by inhibiting the expression of cyclin D1, cyclin D3, CDK 4 and cyclin A. Cells at the G0/G1 checkpoint are surveyed to determine whether their DNA replicates correctly, and these cells will not transition to the next phase until replication problems are solved.
