In this paper, we focus on the computational complexity analysis and develop an effective adaptivity strategy to add or remove modes dynamically.
We successively remove modes from the subset to arrive at one that is minimal in the sense that no additional modes can be removed and still support all the flux distributions.
Finally, if the time-to-live value of the removed MODE 3 entry was greater than zero, then the M3_M1 update entry is further forwarded to all neighboring nodes, after updating the necessary fields (i.e., with predecessor, next hop... information according to the removed MODE 3 entry).
