The phrase "removed to open" is not standard in written English and may cause confusion.
It could be used in a context where something is taken away or set aside in order to access or reveal something else.
Example: "The panel was removed to open the access point for maintenance."
Alternatives: "taken away to access" or "lifted to reveal."
