In terms of removals, the Commission found YouTube removed 85.4% of reported content, Facebook 82.4% and Twitter 43.5% (the latter constituting a slight decrease in performance vs last year).
In Indiana, to reduce the number of removals, the governor has said he is open to narrowing the state's definition of child neglect.
Under pressure to speed up removals, the government has introduced a new system for processing claims and is clearing a backlog of up to 450,000 cases.
Of the 2,651 child removals the city says it did in the first nine months of the year, 54 percent were done on an emergency basis without a court order, something the lawyers say they would like to stop.
"We remain unconvinced that the process for the general public to report suspected illegal activity relating to immigration is working as effectively as it could when so many reports do not lead to removals," the MPs said.
"As we work to hire rapidly and ramp up our policy enforcement teams throughout 2018, newer members may misapply some of our policies resulting in mistaken removals," the statement said.
