Patients with ≥30% worsening from baseline during this 6-month maintenance of effect phase and <30% remaining improvement from phase 1 baseline on the DSM-IV ADHD RS were required to discontinue the study due to a lack of therapeutic effect (Fig. 1).
Treatment failures were withdrawn from the study if they fulfilled both of the lack of therapeutic effect discontinuation criteria: (1) 30% or more worsening from baseline of this study phase on DSM-IV ADHD rating scale score AND; (2) less than 30% remaining improvement from the phase 1 baseline score on DSM-IV ADHD rating scale.
In 2004, while challenges remain, improvements continue on a routine basis, as the network strives to enhance human health and improve the safety of foods within the Asia Pacific region.
The clinical efficacy was classified as follows: cure – all of the presenting symptoms and signs were resolved, and the laboratory tests and clinical procedures were normal; marked improvement – only one abnormality remained; improvement – at least two abnormalities remained at the termination of treatment; failure – clinical manifestations remained or were aggravated after 72 h of treatment.
The component share of the total powertrain R&D spend is determined as a function of the remaining potential improvement in the component, the contribution of the component to powertrain attributes and the importance of the attributes to the user.
In advanced disease, although an improvement in survival remains the over-arching wish of most patients, when this is not likely there nevertheless remain important improvements that are highly clinically relevant.
Although significant challenges remain, with improvements in pump therapy and sensor technologies, considerable progress has been made over the past 5 decades.
One must therefore balance the adverse, but manageable effect of prolonged skin rash with some improvement in remaining progression-free and improvement in at least some domains of quality of life (QoL).
In trials, the drug had a clear benefit in only 2 out of 10 patients; 4 of 10 had no benefit at all; and the remaining 4 had improvements that might have been due to the drug.
Despite improvements, remaining weaknesses included service access and usage - especially in remote areas, staff retention, workload, and community accountability.
